We are delighted to announce a triple-bill of one-act plays for our November 2026  production . An evening of variety that will highlight the uniqueness of each individual play.

"RUBY of ELINSORE".

written by Bruce Kane

directed by: Ralph Camp

Ruby of Elsinore is a satirical light-hearted parody of Hamlet, centering around a royal hairdresser named Ruby. The play completely turns the tragic drama of Elsinore Castle into a fun, backstage comedy. The play is set in Ruby's House of Beauty in Elsinore and the salon operates under the strict rule "What's said at Ruby's stays at Ruby's".

The cast are recognisable Shakespearean characters who come to let their hair down and spill the latest gossip to Ruby.

"ANGER MANAGEMENT".

written by Robert Scott

directed by: Juliet Richards

A group anger management session takes a turn for the worse when the facilitator suggests the participants re-enact the things that got them sent there in the first place. A recipe for disaster and hilarity

When Dr. Clarke arrives at the anger management therapy session he (or she) run, he's faced with a group of patients (literally) at each other's throats. Cue the frustrated therapist deciding it's high time the patients to explain – or rather re-enact – what got them there. What follows is a series of tales of unfortunate incidents involving broken glasses, long lost friends and bizarre homework assignments. Will this exercise improve the mood of all involved, or merely lead to further chaos?

"A MYSTERY".

directed by: Granville Rush

Not a murder mystery this time, just a total mystery as the third play has not yet been chosen! We're all rather excited to find out and will update here with further details as soon as it has been announced. Stay tuned!

Production dates: 12th, 13th & 14th November at Much Hadham Village Hall.
