An enchanting evening with the acclaimed director, playwright, and teacher, Stephen Unwin, live on stage for 'In The Spotlight'.

 

Stephen's illustrious career spans decades, from his early days at Cambridge University to founding the English Touring Theatre and serving as Artistic Director of the Rose Theatre in Kingston. He's directed numerous acclaimed productions, including works at the National Theatre and with prominent actors such as Alan Cumming, Tilda Swinton, and Judi Dench. Stephen's contributions to theatre and opera are matched by his passion for teaching and writing, making this a unique opportunity to delve into the mind of a true theatrical visionary. Don't miss this chance to hear Stephen's stories and insights on 21st September at 7:30 PM.

 

Stephen's second son is severely disabled, which has driven Stephen to become a dedicated campaigner and lecturer for the rights of people with learning disabilities. For more details on Stephen's career, you can view his full CV using the links below.

 

The evening's format was free seating and included a glass of wine or a soft drink upon arrival, followed by cheese and nibbles with time to mingle and meet Stephen. 

 

The event supported St. Elizabeth's in Perry Green, where Stephen's son resides.
